Farmhouse Villa dell'Agata |
| |
High above Saint Angelo in vado, in the midst of a breathtaking landscape of hills and valleys, lies the Villa dell'Agata. Peace and tranquillity are the signature of this restored hillside farmhouse. A biological smallholding, complete with horses, dogs and cats, sets the scene for a special holiday,in which the chirping of crickets and flickering of gloworms are only part of nature's special effects. Freshly baked bread, and pizza from the wood-burning bakehouse, and a wonderfully situated swimming pool, are just a few of the agreeable amenities that contribute to the visitor's rest and relaxations, far away from the noise and stress of city life. Not only adults can find interesting possibilities to enjoy their holiday, but also children can be offered an entertaining and varied holiday with qualified and experienced care (also without parents)

Our town |
| |
Sant'Angelo in Vado lies in the northern part of the Marches. The history on this ancient town, which is 360 m above the sea level, stretches back to 1000 B.C. (late Bronz Age). This make Saint Angelo in Vado even older than Rome. Excavations around the town bear whitness to this fact. Many traditions are central to Saint Angelo. The annual Truffle Festival marks the high point of region calendar. Here, in addition to the black truffle, one can also sample the delicious and valuable white truffle.
Nearby sights
Only 25 km from Sant Angelo in Vado you find Urbino, which is one of Le Marches absolute crown jewels. The town is not only one of Italy?s best preserved and most beautiful hill towns, but is also a town of great historic and cultural importance. During the 12th century Federico di Montefeltro hired some of the greatest renaissance artists and architects to decorate his palace and other parts of the town. The ducal palace and the birth house of the later so famous painter Raphael is just a few of the interesting Urbino-sights worth mentioning.
Further to the north you will find San Leo ? the romantic and cosy village with the impressive fortress, which was used for military purposes as late as during the second world war.
Because Sant Angelo in Vado is situated close to the borders of both Tuscany and Umbria, your visit at Villa dell?Agata will not be limited to only Le Marche. By car, historic and beautiful towns such as Arezzo in Tuscany, famous for hosting one of Italy?s biggest antique fairs, and the astonishing Gubbio in Umbria is reachable within an hours drive.

OUR CLIMATE AND COUNTRY-SIDE |
| |
Nature lovers and hikers can follow one of the many trails upkept by the Comunità Montana, which lead through undisturbed areas of natural beauty, with innumerable places of interest and scenic viewing points.
While there are now fewer two-legged inhabitants of the forests and mountains, eyes and ears should be kept open in case of a possible glimpse of a four legged inhabitantof the region, namely the wild boar.
Even cyclists can feel at home here. Italian and overseas cyclings teams take advantage of the training possibilities, which offers a varied and demanding terrain with the many valleys and hills.
Our region, with its warm and pleasants climate, has a great deal to offer to everybody, not only those on foot or two wheels.
