Solar do Laginha is a manour house dating back to 1777. In the past, the estate was involved in farming and cattle breed. It is located in the pleasant village of Afife, enjoying magnificent ocean views and 5 walking minutes to a fine sandy beach with EU blue flag. This beach is well known to surfers from different countries, as international competitions take place here every year. In the village one finds shopping facilities, restaurants and cafés. Property is 8 km from Viana do Castelo, 65 km from Porto and 70 km from Vigo (Spain).
Adapted to received guests since 1997, property offers accommodation in the main house, as well as 5 converted personnel and storage building that have been concerted into comfortable cottages.

in the ground floor: living room with TV and french doors opening into a private garden, dining room, guest WC, 2 double rooms with en suite bathrooms (one with bath, one with shower), 1 single bedroom, a cloakroom and a fully equipped kitchen;
in the first floor: 1 master bedroom with twin beds and en suite bathroom and 2 double room with en suite bathrooms (one with bath, one with shower):
outside: private garden with vineyard and a stone table with furniture for outdoors meals. Sleeps 11 persons.
Extensive gardens, a large shared swimming pool (15x 6 m) with panoramic sea view, loungers and parasols, and a pool bar/restaurant serving drinks, light snacks and lunch or diner per request complement the offer.

Afife is a well known beach where surf and bodyboard have an annual contest in summer. Served by a restaurant and a beach bar during the season, and a automobile parking area.
Bus every hour. Also train station.
The land surrounding the beach is a protected rural area, therefore there is almost no constructions there. The village is 1 Km away. It is located about 8 Km north of Viana do Castelo, 85 Km from Porto.
