Our farmhouse in Aillac is a spacious, stone farmhouse offering comfortable accommodation for up to 11 in four bedrooms. It has been renovated with all the character maintained. It's 10m by 5m swimming pool is fully terraced and alarmed. It is set in 7 acres of it's own grounds within the Perigord National Park. Aillac is a small hamlet of houses in the commune of St. Pierre de Frugie. It is situated on the edge of the Dordogne, bordering the Limousin. The cities of Limoges and Perigueux are approximately 30 minutes away. We are just 5 kms from either La Coquille or Chalus for everyday shopping and services. Limoges airport is 40 minutes away by car, so we are secluded without being isolated. Aillac has everything you need for a relaxing time in the heart of the French countryside.

Midway between Limoges and Perigueux, the house is 2 km away from the beautiful village of St. Pierre de Frugie. Nearby are the towns of La Coquille and Chalus - where Richard the Lionheart was fatally wounded. The prehistoric caves at Les Eyzies and old towns such as Brantome, Bergerac and St. Emilion are within reasonable distance. The farmhouse is set within Parc Naturel du Perigord-Limousin (Perigord Vert) and there is beautiful countryside all around.

There are four large bedrooms over two floors. The master bedroom (30 sq m) is a lovely dual aspect room with super-king size bed and exposed beams on ceiling and walls. There is a magnificent open fireplace in the bedroom and a door leading directly to the herb garden. It is a fantastic place to watch the early morning wildlife as you look over the pool. Bedroom 2 (30 sq m) is also on this floor. It has twin beds and is also dual aspect, overlooking the front and side garden. On the top floor there are two further bedrooms and bathroom. Bedroom 3 (25 sq m) has a double bed and a single bed (sleeping 3) and also has a PlayStation (PS1) with games. Bedroom 4 (20sq m) has 2 set of twin beds (sleeping 4) and a small TV and video recorder.
