Peter Brooke Cottage is a stone built architect designed conversion of a the former stabling in the grounds of Hilfield Manor. Idyllicly set in two acres of garden in the glorious Dorset counbtryside in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Ideally located for touring the region from the beaches of Weymouth and on to the Jurassic Coast, Bath, Stonehenge and Exmoor are all within an hours'drive. There are many local sites of interest including the medieval towns of Sherborne and Dorchester, many National Trust properties and an abundancce of restaurants and pubs.
Thomas Hardy was a regular visitor to the Manor in the 1920's and his novels are set in the surrounding countryside.
