more information

Tangier is the gateway to Africa and yet only 35minutes by fast ferry from Tarifa in Spain. Tangier sits at the head of the Rif peninsula and the Moroccan government are planning for Tangier to rapidly be considered on a par with Barcelona or Monte Carlo. Tangier is unique in Morocco in that it benefits from access to both the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts. It enjoys a very pleasant climate and with its sea breezes offers a welcome respite or alternative from the heat of the Costa del Sol. Also Tangier is a world famous city and so accessible with an international airport and a busy ferry port serving the coast of Morocco, Spain and France.
Tangier - the famous city Tangier

TANGIER: mystic gateway to Morocco and Africa yet a mere 9 miles from Europe. The Phoenicians, Berbers, Portuguese and Spaniards all left their print upon this city. International rule was established in the late 19th century when it gained its exotic and glamorous name amongst writers, artists and poets who to this day are still attracted to its mysterious charms. In the ancient medina, discover stalls resplendent with the rich colours of the cloths, ceramics and leather goods plus the air is filled with the pungent aromas of the fruits and spices. This melee on the visitors senses transports you back to a Morocco of the distant past. In the centre of the Medina is the Petit Socco, a delightful square. Overlooking the city is the Kasbah, with the sultan?s palace, Dar El Makhzen, a museum of Moroccan crafts and antiquities. The royal palace is in the elegant and famous Marchand area. A new high quality Tangier is also emerging rapidly. Spectacular Atlantic sunsets and views of Europe.
