Idyllically located in the small Hunsruck community of Rapperath, Haus Edelgard offers a tranquil and relaxing base from which to explore the Rhine, Moselle and Eifel regions. The house sits in it's own grounds with a natural stream just over the road. The village belongs to the rural market town Morbach which is just a few kilomteres along the way. The holiday apartment is located on the ground floor with the property owners living above. There are 2 large double bedrooms, a living room/diner, a fully fitted modern kitchen and bathroom with shower/WC. There's a satellite TV connection and guests have the use of the garden and sun terrace which has BBQ facilities. There is private car parking and cycles available for the fit and active. The "Schinderhannes" cycle route is highly recommended. |
Rapperath itself is located just a short way from the historical "Hunsruck High Road" linking Koblenz on the Rhine and Trier in the Moselly Valley. The road was constructed in 1938 as forward planning to enable rapid military access to Germany's western borders. Morbach, known locally as the "Hunsruck's SunTrap" is just a few kilometres away and offers all the facilities of a typical country town with shops, restaurants, bars, museums, open air swimming pool and winter sport facilities. |
