VILLAGE LIFE IN CROATIA |
| |
Kuća-Adria is located one minute from the seafront. The village offers great swimming from anywhere along its unspoilt coastline. There are three excellent local family orientated restaurants which offer wonderful food and Croatian wine. A quiet fishing village Zablace is conveniently situated close to the Solaris complex (hotels with restaurants, water sports and children?s entertainments) and - a drive in the other direction - the seaside town of Vodice which has been attracting tourists from all over the world for decades. There are two major shopping complexes less than ten minutes drive for all your shopping and other needs. Fresh fish, nuts and fruit are all recommended. Then there is the local wine!!
Boat trips are available to the central islands and to the Krka National Park, the River Krka with its rapids and waterfalls. The medieval town of Sibenik is fifteen minutes away (major bus station and boats for the islands and the Kornati National Park). The airport and sea port of Split (car rental available) is just an hour away and close by the charming Adriatic resort towns of Trogir (medieval) and Primosten.
Kuća-Adria. An excellent base and perfect place to return to from your adventures.

The Croatian coastline absolutely beautiful containing more than one thousand dazzling islands. Justlook out to sea from the terrace of Kuća/Adria! Most of the islands are small and uninhabited there are about 20 larger islands which are popular - starting from those just off the Istrian coast and going all the way down to the islands near Dubrovnik.
The Brijuni Islands 14 islands and islets make up this archipelago, which is also a National Park, and located close to Pula on the mainland.
Cres The second largest island in the Adriatic, near Rijeka.
Losinj Neighbour to Cres, this popular island is well known for its lush green vegetation.
Krk The largest Adriatic island, Krk is easily accessible as it is connected to the mainland by bridge.
Rab One of the greenest islands, it is covered with fragrant pine forests.
Pag Famous for its sheep's cheese and lace-making, also home to the party town of Novalja!
The Kornati Islands Peaceful and tranquil, this archipelago consists of 140 islands.
Brac One of the livelier islands, famous for the Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) beach.
Hvar The sunniest island in the whole of the Adriatic - makes some of the best Croatian wine. (Visit the vineyards).
Vis The most westerly of all the Croatian islands.
Korcula Famous for its thick dense forest, the island was nicknamed Black Korcula by the ancient Greeks. |
