The house is split into 3 buildings and has a large garden for relaxing. The main house has 2 large en-suite bedrooms, living area, small kitchen and garage. The rooms have jack wood beds, one double four poster, the other has two large single beds. The large living area has open arch going through to the kitchen.

The back building has a large kitchen with traditional open fire cooking ideal for fresh seafood bbq's.

The 3rd bedroom is in a separate building above the 2nd garage. It is also en-suite and has a small fridge and balcony with sea views.

The kitchen has large fridge freezer, cooker, electric kettle, electric toaster, sandwich maker, multi-functional juicer/blender, kitchen utensils and iron and ironing board.

The house is across the road from the lovely kabalana beach. The beach boasts one of the best surfing breaks in the Island with none of the crowds of Hikkaduwa. Good surfing can also be found in the neighbouring village of Midigama.

Night life in Ahangama centers around plenty of places to eat and drink. Ratnas, across the road on the beach, is a great place to enjoy a nice meal and have a few drinks watching the sun set. You might even be lucky enough to see baby turtles being released into the sea.

The beautiful bay of Unawatuna, which has been voted one of the prettiest bays in the world is a 15 minute tuk tuk ride away. It is excellent for swiming , snorkelling or diving. There are also numerous good restaurants in the bay and a disco where you can dance the night away.

The city of Galle is 30 minute drive away where you can do some shopping, explore the city fort or watch a cricket match.

Tuk tuks are readily available in the area. Hiring mopeds as a good way of getting around, many hours can be passed going off road into the jungle to see another side to Sri Lanka. Although care must be taken on the main road where the driving can be quite frantic.

Sri Lanka airlines are now opperating sea taxi planes which fly from Colombo to the hearby Koggala airport. Transfers can be arranged from either Colombo or Koggala direct to the front door.

Our local house manager Ajith, can arrange for hiring of mopeds or drivers. Island tours can also be arranged.

Ajith can assist with shopping for food, wood for open fire cooking and can arrange for chef if desired. He can also arrange for massage, fishing, diving and also laundry service, all payable locally.

The house has a live-in caretaker and night watchman Indika.
