The luxurious Flora apartments in Borovets are a four-star complex located in the foothills of the Rila National Park, just 50 meters from the gondola station. The complex is newly opened in 2005 and won the prestigious "Best Project of 2005" award from the Bulgarian Industrial Association.

Our studio is on the seventh floor, looking out over the stunning pine forest to the south. It provides a generous 50m2 of internal living space to accomodate up to three people. Its spacious living room/bedroom has a three-seater sofa bed, 2 matching armchairs, a chair-bed, a coffee table and cable TV. The Kitchen/Entrance Hall is separate from the living room, with access to the bathroom off the Entrance Area.

On-site facilities include a spa centre that features a swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna, steam room, massage centre and jacuzzi.
The complex has a range of shops as well as a beauty salon and medical centre. There is a restaurant offering traditional Bulgarian and International cuisine as well as a Lobby Bar and Irish pub. A games room offers darts and chess.
Ski and boot storage is available on the ground floor. There is also a laundry room.

Borovets is the oldest international and most popular mountain resort in Bulgaria. It is located at 1350m with the highest pistes at 2600 m on the Northern slopes of the Rila mountain. It is set among age-old pine woods, at the foot of Mousala peak (2925 m) the highest one on the Balkan peninsula.

Established at the end of the 19th century as a hunting place for the Bulgarian kings, Borovets gradually developed into a modern ski resort of high class and luxury hotels, haute-cuisine restaurants and varied leisure-time entertainment opportunities besides the excellent network of ski runs and lifts. The resort is a regular host of various winter sports competitions and has twice hosted World Cup competitions in Alpine skiing.

Borovets is easily accessible with a distance of only 70 km from Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria) and 126 km from the second largest city Plovdiv.
Snow conditions are among the best in Eastern Europe and the season usually lasts from Mid December to April

There are 45 km of pistes varying in difficulty and length for skiing and snowboarding. There are ski runs for beginners, intermediates and advanced skiers, designed with international markings and multilingual signs. Several floodlit pistes also allow late night fun on the snow. The Borovets ski school has more than 200 ski instructors fluent in foreign languages and some of them are former professional skiers.

Mountain lovers from all over Europe converge on the resort to partake in skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, ski jumps and biathlon, ski-doo, ice-skating, and night-skiing.

Borovets also offers fantastic apres ski and night-life with its multitude of bars, cafes, night clubs and discos that stay open into the early morning. A night out is extremely good value for money especially with special 'happy hour' discounts and a 3 course meal that can be enjoyed for under £10!!

The resort offers flights by helicopter above the Borovets area, so that you can view & enjoy the beautiful nature of the Rila mountain. Slightly further afield is the Rila Monastery (about 90 minutes), Bulgaria?s largest and most famous monastery, founded in 927 AD and hidden high in the Rila mountains.
