The private terrace planted with shrubs and an olive tree, has a large wooden table, four chairs, a parasol, two sun loungers and a BBQ. A locking gate and high perimeter walls allow young children to play securely. The villa is located on a small commune of similar properties with beautiful landscaped communal gardens away from main roads. There is also private, secure parking for one car.
Port Leucate

Port Leucate is a beautiful, well maintained coastal resort located on a lovely, long stretch of sandy beach between Narbonne and Perpignan The port also borders an inland salt water lagoon where you can buy fresh oysters, mussels and clams.
The resort offers lots of activities including, wind/kite surfing, canoeing, water skiing and sailing. Bikes are available for hire and there are also two great water and adventure parks within cycling distance of the villa. The adventure park is located in woodland and has a range of ropes, swings, tree climbs etc whilst the water park has a good selection of slides and tunnels as well as a large outdoor swimming pool.
The port comes to life in July and August when you can listen to live music outside the bars and restaurants overlooking the beautiful sailing boats moored in the marina. The entertainment is suitable for all the family and although lively and full of French atmosphere the noise cannot be heard from the villa.
Port Leucate is just a 20 minutes drive away from the famous wine village of Fitou where you can sample the local wine in it's many village caves. Whist there we would recommend a visit to the Lou courtal de Viidal restaurant where you can indulge in an amazing seafood and cold meats buffet followed by main course choices such as steak rossini, seabass or wild boar casserole. The restaurant oozes traditional French rustic charm and whilst enjoying your meal you will be entertained by the Grandfather on his saxophone....a truly unforgettable experience!
Local Area

Languedoc-Roussillon is France's southernmost region bordered by Spain, Andorra and the Pyrenees Mountains and boasts everything from mountains and rivers to lakes and the Mediterranean Sea.
The region has a long coastline of virtually uninterrupted white, sandy beaches and picturesque fishing villages and ports. Water sports including wind/kite surfing, sailing, canoeing, diving and water skiing can be found on the coast whilst activities such as cannyoning, mountain biking, rock climbing, horse riding, white water rafting, hiking and golf are also available nearby. The ski resorts of the Pyrennes mountains are just a 90 minute drive away.
The local area offers lots of family activities and days out such as the underground caves at Ville-Franche (40mins), the little yellow train that travels up the Pyrenees mountains (40 mins), a fantastic African safari park with over 3000 animals (15 mins) as well as a whole host of adventure and water parks (20 mins).
The region is littered with historical monuments, abbeys and castles and boasts several UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Pont du Gard, the Canal du Midi, the medieval walled city at Carcassonne and the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela, which take in the abbey of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert and the abbey church of Saint-Gilles. A short trip over the border in to Spain will take you to Figueres where you can visit the famous Dail museum and the region is famous for it's great painters like Matisse and Picasso who once found inspiration in the beauty and light of ports such as Collioure, Banyuls, Port-Vendres and Cerbère.
Perpignan, with it?s strong Catalan influence is a 20 minute drive away where you will find a maze of chiq boutiques and busy pavement bars, cafés and restaurants.
The local culture is brought to life in carnivals and festivals, such as the traditional celebrations of the bull in the nearby Catalan towns and villages, the fishermen?s festivals at Gruissan, Sète and Bouzigues; and traditional maritime jousting tournaments at Sète and Mèze. During July and August music festivals are held in most towns and villages.
Languedoc is an exciting region to visit at any time of the year. The climate is warm and sunny with over 300 days of sunshine each year.
