The apartment, completly renovated, is located in the first floor of and old building, in a little cobble street in front of the church Igreja de Jesus. Across the street you will find a coffee house and a typical grocery shop. If you walk down to Sao Bento you will find, apart from the Parliament, lots of antiques shops. If you walk up to Bairro Alto you will find during the day lots of small trendy shops. At night it?s full of life with plenty of bars, fado houses. Further along you get to Chiado city centre here you will find shopping malls, theaters, the opera and museums. If you prefer not to walk, you can always catch the tramway at the end of the street.

Between Sao Bento and Bairro Alto you will find all sorts of nice restaurants for all purses. Apart from Portuguese cooking you will find Italian, French, Spanish, Moroccan, Indian, Japanese and Chinese restaurants.

Also you will find small groceries and food shops all around. There is a small supermarket in Sao Bento street and another at the top of calcada do Combro

If you need, there is a public car park 300m distant from the apartment in Calcada do Combro. The Tramway stops at the end of the street (100m), the underground in Chiado (800m), and buses in Chiado or S. Bento (300m).
