A newly restored country house in Abruzzo, near the town of Lanciano in the beautiful village of Castel Frentano. The property sleeps 8-10. A 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house with private pool that is set within 1/3rd of an acre overlooking the village of Castel Frentano. 15 minutes from the unspoilt Adriatic Sea and 45 minutes from Roman ski resorts. This house has recently been totally renovated to the highest standard with all modern facilities. The house sits overlooking the hill village of Castel Frentano with its bars, shops and cafes, where it is possible to relax and get a taste of real Italian life.

The house was fully restored in 2005, maintaining its character whilst adding all that?s needed for a relaxing holiday. The original fireplaces are still in the lounge and large dining room and the first floor still has the original terracotta tiles.
The kitchen is fully fitted with a large range cooker and granite work surfaces making it an excellent place to enjoy some fresh Italian food.
There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor, a double and king size, both with private ensuite shower rooms. On the second floor are 2 rooms each containing 3 single beds with a shared bathroom with bath.
Downstairs there is a large covered terrace which is perfect for enjoying lunch or a break from the sun. The first floor has a large balcony with another dining area and great views of the mountains.

We love the area because it is the real unspoilt Italy. There are very few English people and the Italians are helpful and friendly. We have been looked after and well fed by the people from the village we now call our friends. The food is excellent. You can buy such local fresh food that shopping is a joy, the local greengrocer stocks local vegetables and the butcher local meats. If you don?t want to cook on holiday the restaurants serve great food, from the agritourism (fresh farm food)restaurants in the mountains to perfect seafood linguini overlooking the Adriatic.
The variety of the area is exceptional. This makes holidays in and out of season great fun. You can sunbathe on one of the many beaches on the coast one day and be walking in the mountains the next. There are historical towns and villages nearby, the closest is the medieval town of Lanciano 10 mins away, where you can enjoy some serious sightseeing or a peaceful afternoon coffee. Inland there are beautiful lakes for walking or swimming. There are caves to visit or an Aqua Park for the children. Abruzzo has everything for a busy or relaxing holiday.
