I first visited Turgutreis 12 years ago with my father and sister on a last minute holiday. We didnt know where in Turkey we were going, just that we were going to Turkey! Turgutreis then was alot different to Turgutreis now, but we instantly fell in love with its charm and have been visiting ever since. We have built up almost a turkish family over there who are always willing to do us favours, help us with anything, sort out things when we are not there etc. Now more and more people are falling in love with Turkey, and Turgutreis and the Bodrum peninsular are becoming increasingly popular to holiday makers, and property investors. The people in Turgutreis are so so friendly, and the place has the right balance of culture, and convenience. Four years ago a new stunning marina was built at one end of the town, it has capacity for 400 large sailing and motor yaughts, and there is a luxury leisure complex in it. The complex has a large outdoor pool area, tennis courts, open air cinema, health suites, bar, restauraunts supermarkets etc. It is the 'designer' end of town! A property developer who is a friend of ours built some luxury apartments opposite the marina and club 3 years ago, and when we viewed them we had to have one! The apartment is not huge, but is ideal for couples who appreciate fine style and contemporary living. There is nothing else like it in Turgutreis, and we guarantee a fabulous holiday if you choose to stay in the apartment. It is 2 mins walk from the beach and the town, just close enough, but not too close. There is a big supermarket next door for all your self catering needs, there is the fantastic marina leisure club opposite with many fabulous eateries on site and use of all the leisure clubs facilities is available. Alternatively the mandalinci hotel is 5 mins walk from the apartment, and use of its family size pool,bar area, private beach etc is free for apartment renters. The town offers everything for a holiday maker, fine restauraunts, cafes, an abundance of shops where you can find great bargains( dont forget to barter!) weekly markets, excursions, car and moped hire, scuba,great beaches, boat trips, daily trips over to Kos etc etc etc. If you fancy a trip to visit surrounding areas Bodrum is a thriving city 20 mins away. Catch the local mini bus ( dolmus) there for about a pound! There is a near by water park, a great day out for all the family, there are near by turkish baths, boat trips can be arranged which offer a fantastic day out . Food and drinks are provided, and the boats stop off at all the best beaches and coves with crystal clear waters. Why not try a camel ride or some water sports! The boat trips are very reasonable, but dont forget your sun cream! The apartment has a large balcony with table and chairs and barbecue for entertaining, and the panoramic views are great to wake up to as you lie in bed, the glass wall between the bedroom and living area enables you to enjoy the view first and last thing. There is a plasma television, dvd player, and cd player if you fancy some time enjoying the apartment and all its luxury features, its fully airconditioned, fully furnished and full luxury!!!!
